Being at the top of the mountain, this condo is surrounded by a web of trails that you can access during any season. In the winter, strap on some snowshoes or cross-country ski’s and head out for a winter adventure. During the summer, bike or hike on the trails and find your favorite overlook with a view of Lake Tahoe.

When you want to head into town to visit the casinos, grocery store, shops and restaurants you are only a short ten minute drive a way. The Heavenly Village is home to the majority of our local shops and restaurants, in addition to the local cinema, Heavenly Gondola and outdoor ice rink (during the winter months).

Enjoyed very much where we stayed. Excellent view. The only thing was that there wain't enough ventilation. No air conditioning. The fans provided were not enough for a couple of nights. Slept out on the patio a couple of nights because it was to warm inside. Which was nice too. But other than that it was very nice. We enjoyed it very much and look forward to going back in the future.

July 2016 Stay

Review by David
The rental was beautiful. Finding it and clear instructions to follow. Clean and perfect. Ventilation was probably the only thing missing in the upstairs loft. No windows to open. Slept outside one night in the patio. Loved it. The view was majestic. Especially the sunsets. Thank you.

Well-appointed condo with gorgeous view, a few minor issues

Review by Sophie W.
The Milky Way condo is a beautiful property with an amazing view. We spent most of our time there gazing out the large windows down the hill at Lake Tahoe. The furniture and decor is in great shape, very comfortable, and fits the Tahoe locale perfectly. The kitchen has everything you need to cook any meal, along with thoughtful touches like kitchen scissors and chip clips (no plastic baggies or saran wrap though). We did run into a couple of hiccups along the way, however. During the duration of our stay (5 days), the cable connection on the TV was terrible and had continuous static that made it very difficult to watch. The property management company was unable to offer any solutions until the day before we departed because it was a holiday weekend. There was not enough parking in the lot provided for the condo complex, so starting around 6 pm cars were parking in the middle of the parking lot, blocking in the rest of the cars and making it impossible to leave in the evenings. We contacted the property management company about this after hours, and they didn't return our calls. When we called them again the following day, they could not offer us any solutions because they do not manage the rest of the complex. Finally, there was no wifi available in the condo which seems like a huge oversight for such a modern and upscale unit. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we would return in a heartbeat.

Manager Response:

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that the condo was suitable for your group. We would like to address the issues mentioned. This home is located in an HOA, who handles all the cable and internet connections. Upon learning of the bad cable connection, we did all we could to get in touch with someone at the HOA who could assist us. It wasn’t until Monday that we were able to get in touch with someone, and able to rectify the issue. For this stay the owner had not yet purchased Wi-Fi for this home, but has since decided to provide internet to guests. The parking up at this unit is first-come-first serve, in a large lot that serves many condos. Due to the holiday weekend, the parking lot was busy and there is no parking enforcement provided by the HOA. We hope that these issues do not deter you from staying with Buckingham again. We would love to host you again in the future, in this home or any of our other properties. Sincerely, Buckingham Properties
