Location
As the South Shore straddles the state line, we have luxury vacation rental homes that are on the California side and on the Nevada side. Most of our vacation rentals with lake views are on the Nevada side. This is a desired location as it is still close to the casinos, Heavenly Mountain, shops restaurants and grocery stores. The neighborhoods are typically quieter, and homes are more spaced out than in the middle of South Lake Tahoe. Being on the Nevada side, homes are close to Round Hill Pines Beach and Zephyr Cove Resort & Marina, Edgewood Lake Tahoe Golf Course and the casinos. Access to Heavenly Mountain Resort is easy in the winter, and you can start your day at the Gondola or the upper mountain at Stagecoach or Boulder Lodges. Many of our Nevada neighborhoods are also very close to a network of trails, perfect for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing in the winter!
Availability
The best case scenario to obtain views of Lake Tahoe, is to be right on the lake itself. If you are able to reserve a lake front home, you will have completely unimpeded views of Lake Tahoe. Lake front vacation rentals do book up very quickly, sometimes one year in advance for the summer months. If you don’t need to be directly on the beach, choose a home with a stunning view! Many of our homes are situated on the mountain, which means gorgeous lake views from above. In the winter, it is easy to get sidetracked with only wanting a home that is close to the slopes. Ask for one with a lake view and you will be treated to amazing photo opportunities throughout your entire vacation.
Rates
Being in high demand, lake front rentals will have higher nightly rates than a home with a lake view. Typical lake front homes will go from $800 per night up to $1,700 per night. When renting a home with a lake view, the nightly rate will be lower than those of lake front homes.
