We have just reduced our nightly minimum to 3 nights! If you are still debating on visiting South Lake Tahoe for the Fourth of July, we will help you make up your mind! Spend your Independence Day in South Lake Tahoe and take advantage of our live local music, superb restaurants, fabulous fireworks show and of course the best beaches in all of Tahoe!
Of course the main attraction for visitors coming up to South Lake Tahoe for this holiday is the Lights on the Lake Fireworks display. This yearly show has no local competition. The show is scheduled to start at 9:45 on Saturday July 4, 2015 and can be seen all through the South Lake Tahoe area. The barge sets up in front of Nevada Beach Campground. Once the show starts, you will not be disappointed and when the show ends you will be left wanting more!
If you haven’t been to South Lake Tahoe during a holiday time, the July Fourth Holiday is a good one to start with. During the warmer months you can feel what a great community and local culture we have. We have a spectacular live music scene here in town, and during the holidays it is on full display. Just walking through the Heavenly Village you will hear the sounds from multiple local solo artists and bands. If you are planning to arrive Wednesday or Thursday, head to El Dorado Beach for the popular Live at Lakeview FREE concert on the beach. Watch the sun go down while dancing to some groovy tunes – what is not to love? Don’t forget the big names that we get through South Lake Tahoe. This year Steven Tyler is coming back with Aerosmith for a show on Friday July 3rd. Even if you didn’t get tickets, you can hear the music wherever you are in the village. The show takes place at the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys, and you can be outside the show and feel like you are right in the thick of things!
Are you a car buff? The Heavenly Village will also host the Rolling Chrome/Tahoe Thunder – Car & M/C Show. Walk around and drool over old cars and bikes, and chat with the characters that own them. Enter your name for a chance to win in their raffle drawing!
Our many sandy South Shore beaches are arguably the best in all the lake. Why not North Shore, you ask? Well, around 4 in the afternoon the sun hits the mountains and the beaches are in the shade. But on the South Shore, you can be in the sun until 8pm. You can spend your whole day on a sunny beach, and only have to wait a short time before the fireworks go off right in front of you!
So you if you have finally decided to make it to South Lake Tahoe for the Fourth of July (which you should), where are you going to stay? Lucky for you, as of today we have a few homes that have opened up for the holiday. But act quickly, because they will be booked up fast!
