Winter is officially done, and we are now looking forward to Spring. Of course, that is after our brief return to winter that occurred on Tuesday. Yes, if you were not up here to experience it, South Lake Tahoe just experienced winter for the first time in a long time. After this abysmal winter many of us forgot what snow even looked and felt like (and forgot how to drive in it). With many of the ski resorts closed, the snow came as more of a nuisance than a pleasure (of course, we do need any moisture we can get). But one day later, and the sun was back shining and we are now out enjoying the spring-like weather. If you are coming up to South Lake Tahoe this April (which you should) here are some of the local events going on!
Heavenly Mountain Resort
When: Now through April 19
Where: Heavenly Mountain Resort

Heavenly Mountain Resort is still operating, with the gondola open through April 19. Grab a few Spring turns before the mountain closes, and gets ready for summer operations. If you are not a skier or snowboarding, now is a great time to try it out! Or, just ride up the gondola and enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe from the mid-station viewing deck. You will not be disappointed!
