Lake Tahoe cruises aboard the Tahoe Bleu Wave

Lake Tahoe cruises aboard the Tahoe Bleu Wave

If you’re looking to add a quiet sightseeing cruise to your Lake Tahoe vacation, the Tahoe Bleu Wave is a great way to get out on the lake and avoid the crowds (as often found on the larger ships).  Offering Emerald Bay lunch cruises, Emerald Bay sightseeing cruises and sunset dinner cruises, you can experience an up-close and personal experience with Lake Tahoe at different times of the day, with or without a meal.  The cruises range from 2 to 2.5 hours.  They also offer private charters and wedding cruises.

Catamaran Sailing Cruises

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

If you are staying in one of our South Lake Tahoe vacation rentals and would like to get out on the lake to do some sailing, I would highly recommend Woodwind Sailing Cruises.  The Woodwind II is a “Catamaran” (twin hulls) that is 55 feet long and 30 feet wide with a 64 foot mast.  It can hold up 49 people very comfortably, inside or out, and it has a walk-around deck, spacious sunbathing foredeck, large enclosed cabin, two “heads” (bathrooms) and two glass-bottom observation windows.  The Woodwind II departs from the Zephyr Cove Resort on the Nevada side of the South Shore.  They sail along the rugged Nevada shoreline where you will pass the legendary “Cave Rock” volcanic geological formation, and sacred land to the Washoe Indians.  They also can accommodate private charters, parties and weddings.
