If you planning to stay in one of our South Lake Tahoe vacation rentals for a family reunion, group retreat, birthday, anniversary or any other kind of fun event, and are looking for a great way to get out on the lake and do some site seeing, I highly recommend The Party Boat. Departing from the Tahoe Keys Marina, this 52′ boat is easily accessible from anywhere on the South Shore. The Party Boat can accommodate approximately 50 people and its special features include spacious indoor and outdoor decks, a fly bridge, 2 bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. They do offer catering and a full bar as well.

River Rafting in Lake Tahoe
Wednesday, May 26th, 2010River rafting is a great activity to add to your Lake Tahoe Vacation. Truckee River Raft Co. offers leisurely, self-guided 5-mile float on the Truckee River. It lasts approximately 2-3 hours and takes you from Tahoe City to the River Ranch Bar, Restaurant & Hotel (a great place to have some lunch or a cocktail on the river). Being a “leisurely” float, it is appropriate for all ages! They also offer discounts during certain times of the day and if you book online!

Catamaran Sailing Cruises
Monday, May 3rd, 2010If you are staying in one of our South Lake Tahoe vacation rentals and would like to get out on the lake to do some sailing, I would highly recommend Woodwind Sailing Cruises. The Woodwind II is a “Catamaran” (twin hulls) that is 55 feet long and 30 feet wide with a 64 foot mast. It can hold up 49 people very comfortably, inside or out, and it has a walk-around deck, spacious sunbathing foredeck, large enclosed cabin, two “heads” (bathrooms) and two glass-bottom observation windows. The Woodwind II departs from the Zephyr Cove Resort on the Nevada side of the South Shore. They sail along the rugged Nevada shoreline where you will pass the legendary “Cave Rock” volcanic geological formation, and sacred land to the Washoe Indians. They also can accommodate private charters, parties and weddings.
